Dear Heart is designed to provide a calm space for conversation, reflection, journaling, and emotional support through AI-powered interactions. By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.

1. Purpose of Dear Heart

Dear Heart is an AI companion platform intended for emotional support, journaling, self-reflection, calm conversations, and personal expression.

Dear Heart is not a medical, psychiatric, psychological, legal, or emergency service. The platform is designed to support emotional well-being through conversation and reflection, but it does not replace licensed professional care.

2. Not Professional Advice

The responses generated by Dear Heart are produced by artificial intelligence and may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or inappropriate.

Dear Heart does not provide:

medical advice or psychiatric diagnosis
therapy or counseling
legal or financial advice
crisis intervention services

If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please contact local emergency services, a licensed healthcare provider, or a trusted person immediately.

3. User Responsibility

You are responsible for your decisions, your actions, and how you interpret or use AI-generated responses. By using Dear Heart, you acknowledge that AI conversations are supportive in nature and should not be treated as guaranteed factual, medical, or professional guidance.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age in your country, to use Dear Heart. If you are under the legal age of consent in your region, you may only use Dear Heart with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

5. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and remain responsible for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Conversations and Journals

Dear Heart may allow users to save conversations, create journal entries, and store personal reflections. You understand that AI-generated conversations are automated, saved content may be stored securely on our systems, and you may delete your content where deletion tools are available.

Please avoid sharing highly sensitive information that you would not want stored digitally.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

harass, threaten, or abuse others
upload illegal or harmful content
attempt to exploit or disrupt the platform
impersonate another person
use Dear Heart for unlawful purposes
attempt to manipulate the AI system maliciously

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access when necessary to protect users and the platform.

8. AI Limitations

Dear Heart uses artificial intelligence to generate responses. Because AI systems are imperfect, responses may sometimes misunderstand context, provide incorrect information, or fail to respond as expected. We do not guarantee accuracy, emotional outcomes, uninterrupted availability, or suitability for every situation.

9. Subscription Services

Some features may require a paid subscription, including Dear Heart Plus. Subscription features may include saved conversation history, journaling features, extended conversations, personalization, and future premium tools. 10. Intellectual Property

All branding, logos, interface designs, software, and platform content related to Dear Heart are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit the platform without written permission.

11. Service Availability

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Dear Heart at any time without prior notice. We are not responsible for interruptions, technical failures, data loss, or temporary service unavailability.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dear Heart and its creators shall not be liable for emotional distress, personal decisions, indirect damages, data loss, or outcomes resulting from use of the platform. Use of Dear Heart is at your own discretion and responsibility.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of Dear Heart after updates means you accept the revised terms.
